APRIL MERIDIAN
(Turfwood Royal Flush X Radiance Eliza Babe)
April 10, 1996- April 19, 2024
flaxen chestnut mare, 15.2
Mera is Liza's firstborn, and was all the more special because Liza lost her
1995 foal early in the pregnancy. Clearing up a uterine infection resulted
in Mera, who is everything we'd dreamed of- big, a lovely mover, and
female! The late Turfwood Royal Flush (Clement X Tarranne DeBoyd), Mera's sire, was a lovely, gentle and typy Morgan stallion.
We used him for beginner lessons when he was in dressage training here in 1989.
Royal was also a distinguished sire, producing the World Champion mare
Ponderosa's Replica and the New England Regional Western
Pleasure Champion, Jazz Flavours, as well as many other notable show and family horses.
Mera was owned by CeAnn Shipley of Mythic Morgans in Boyds, MD. She had her first foal, a filly
named Mythic Lasair, in 2004. Her second and final foal, another filly named Mythic Quilla, was foaled in 2009.

Mera is, without a doubt, a spectacular mover. Here she is at age three,
